1937 holster information
I have a 1937 holster manufactured by Gebruder Klinge Dresden 1937. On the face of the holster under the flap is a serial number 9086. Was this holster matched to a luger by the serial number or is this just a holster number? Thank you. Randy

Randy, Generally speaking if it is a serial # it is stamped into the leather. Most often found on Police holsters on the front left face or the right rear.
Is your holster Army or Police? Is the # stamped or inked? Jerry Burney

Randy, A VERY nice holster! I feel certain this # is a pistol serial #. Really a nice collector grade holster.
I will be enjoying the Spring in the Desert for another month...Ellie and I head for the high country May 1st give or take. It's still Wintery at 7000 feet in the Colorado Rockies untill then. Beautifull color...I like brown holsters. Thanks for the photo, Jerry
