Default There is a Real Nice 1917 DWM Artillery Rig for auction

Unfortunately it is a European-based Auction House


The magazine pouches look like reproductions to me because the closure straps look unused, but the rest of the rig seems to be original...


But at least you get to see the photo here!

A long DWM pistol 08 Imperial Germany

Calibre 9 mm parabellum, Number 4496a, matching. Inscribed "1917" and "DWM". Four inspection marks. Polished barrel. Original brushed velvety finish with minimal wear on some edges. Small parts retain complete strawing. Perfect brown checkered chestnut grips. Nickel-plated magazine with wooden base, numbered 7442a. Excellent to nearly mint condition. Accompanying wooden shoulder stock with matching numbers and crown/S inspection mark, leather holster stamped inside "BAXIV" and "xxxxx K�¶ln 1915" (manufacturer), original key and cleaning rod, as well as an original leather bag f�¼r two magazines stamped "Hans R�¶mer 1915 Neu-Ulm". Straps and 2nd magazine bag are old replacements. Rare, complete set.

John, Yes a nice rig. I wonder what 2300 Euros comes to American? The spare mag pouches both look phoney to me. So does the carrying strap although you can only see a small portion of it. I make these double mag pouches for my own use on my Navy rigs and own some originals and I will bet you dollars to doughnuts these are not the real McCoy. Otherwise a nice pistol and holster.
