It looks like this Swiss design is much different than the P-08. Especially the grip and the trigger seem not at all like the P-08. Is that right?

Yes. Also the shapes of the safety lever and takedown bolt. The front of the receiver, too. All to save machining time/cost.

Swiss Lugers are generally in mint condition, and they are among my favourite.
Here in Italy they tend to "more or less" maintain their price, while the opposite can be said about all the other Lugers artillery and Navy included, as they all get rebarreled from 9 mm to 9X21 IMI. Navy lugers in particular, rare as they are, they cost about 6K or 8K USD
The one pictured below, that does not belong to me, however nice is cal. 9x21 IMI and is for sale with a reputable gun shop at the price of about 6,500 Dollars!

I would love if they found some early, DWM ones But I imagine they are selling what was in their war-time stocks and the early ones are long gone...
