Default Swiss Pennant - Bern Canton

Has anyone ever encountered one of these?

It's well made on linen with the cross and the Bern canton symbol embroidered onto it. Size is small. The pennant about 40cm in length, about 20cm wide.

Was this used in a military context?

Thanks, Marc

A tourist/travel item. I don't think there is any military context here.
