Default More advice needed on Erma KGP68A

With help from a member here, I got this pistol assembled. The original problem was that a round would not chamber because the breach block did not go far enough back to pick up a round. Needs another 1/4 inch or better rear movement to do that. That was why the pistol was disassembled to begin with. The breach block hits the lower receiver solidly while going back. The caliber is .380. What the heck is wrong?

Check that the safety lever is in the "fire" position. When the safety is on, the actions of these pistols will only open part way.
