Given the seller, I'm not surprised.

Coming from him I would be more surprised if they were real. Bill

I can see the one mag is crudely stamped, but, the mag number 83 seems to be real to me? What am I missing?... best, GT

Revshop has two simson mags bottoms - I think they are real, but not sure, they look pretty good for me, although the eagles I haven't looked at closely

Hi G.T.,
Both of the mags shown have inverted C/M marks, clearly visible despite this seller's typically blurry photos. They should look like the one shown below.

I'm safe from that seller. I pissed him off on a sale couple of years ago and he banned me from bidding on his items.

I asked him about some grips that had obviously been re-checkered--even varnished, IIRC. Wondered if he'd not mixed up pics for some other lot... His listing's pics were the evidence, yet he doubled down on originality, seemed defensive and cranky that I'd asked. Some here may have dealt with him successfully, but overall, his stuff seems "ambitiously priced," to say the least. I don't doubt that plenty of his offerings are fine, but a pattern of listing bogus stuff is demonstrable. Whether established by ignorance or design, his reputation suffers among even the minimally knowledgeable.

Being a well known friend of Ralph Shattuck does what to his reputation?

I have been impressed by several of his fantasy recreations/interpretations. Not all, and he is getting up in his 70's which probably accounts for the poor quality of many of his later offerings (you just can't find good help anymore) but some of his earlier work has been good enough to fool some of 'the experts'. There was one example I was ready to buy even knowing it was 'bad' but Ken never responded to my emails/PMs.

A junkyard dog salivating at fixing his teeth into your jingle bells if you are nuts enough to climb over his fence.
