Hi Johnny!

I'm not certain which browser you are using - but, you should be able to have an "exception" for this site - so you don't have to turn it "on" or "off" manually...

For example, on IE - if you go to:
TOOLS - INTERNET OPTIONS - PRIVACY
You'll see a button called "sites..." Press that - and type in lugerforum.com in text box and select "Allow"...

That should allow you to visit this site - and yet block cookies from others...

Ron,
al you haf to due is disconneck the thingamajig from the whatsyamacallit before starting. Then blow a little on the sprigit spring in case a small peace of the cork from you lunch got on the sprigit spring. Remember to blow to the left of the somethingorother control box or you will permantly distroy your computor.

Art - I just want to take a moment and Welcome you to your first post on this Forum. You've been lurking for years - and it's terrific to see you finally posting....

Art is on the 1911 Forum and moderates the Dan Wesson Forum I often post to on that site. Art is a terrific moderator there, and a frequent contributor. He's a "virtual" friend, whom I've never met in person, who I hope to have the pleasure someday. As well - once he gets his camera figured out - I hope he posts pictures of the Luger he has from within his family - so we can help him figure out what he's got.

To give you people alittle backround. My uncle was a member of the 101st Airborne, 506 Regiment in WWII- Yes the "Band of Brothers" although not in the company in the movie. If you watch it, at the end they interviewed several people in the 506th, one of which was a Lt. Hazenzall- MY uncles Co and who I had the pleasure of meeting at a reunion held locally several years ago.

In any event, My uncle passed away about two years ago and I knew he had a Luger "Bringback" complete with all the papers as I had fondled it several times. That is when I joined this forum in 2002.- Trying for some info. I ask his wife-my Aunt- to give it to my younger brother (15 years younger than me) so that it would remain in the family. She did that.

So guys, I will get some pictures of it and a picture of the papers so that you can all drool over them! I know John will. I remember it is a 1938 model in about 98% condidtion. My brother who is a very good shot, took it to a "Fun Shoot" this summer and won first prize in automatics.

Glad to have finally posted, but unlike John, I only post when I have something important to say!

It really is a 1938, I know that much...what make I do not know and I ask my brother to bring it to my dads on Christmas so I can get some new pics and I will post them here in the next couple days.
Ya know this story really could be a whole new thread.
When I was a young guy, may Dad bought a P-38 from a down and out WWII vet and that was the first pistol I had ever fired. When I was stationed in Cherry Point NC in 1969, I took that P-38 with me and had it in my locker, It is a wonder I am not still in jail. My dad traded that p-38 for a 1100 shotgun years later...I still cry..but I did buy a P-1 to compensate!

Guys, let me get the pictures together and my story. I will start a thread showing the whole history of this Luger with all the family history. One thing I have to say it that my uncle always told me "You to could have been a Man": this to me who was a Marine in 1968.. He never forgave me for not going Airborne. BUT he was the first one to buy me a beer when I came home. His name was Max and I loved him.
