Lightbulb Image Tips Thread ?

Hi All,
It has been a while since I posted images, and anything I learn't I guess I forgot. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

First question: How long does a posted image "stay" with a thread. I know when I have searched back in the board - quite often the images which the comments refer to have the dreaded "X" (even some of my own)

2. What are some of the best tips for resolution, DPI (same?), pixels, image size (800x600), that create an image under the 200k size limit to post?? I guess this might be different for camera or scanner.

3. Can the tricks for tags and thumbnails be sticky'ed somewhere or maybe an advanced posting link. Somewhere to place the HTML tricks I did once and forgot. Like the [IMG][/IMG] tags and [thumbnail on/off] tags too.

Just someplace to park the intermediate stuff, maybe not right up front to confuse folks - just somewhere to go for us "secont graderz". <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

Regards,
Fritz.

1. As long as John D wants, so, he keeps them a loooong time. I see pictures from a year ago. Another reason that every one should send John d $20 a year for all the enjoyment we get...

2. I set my resolution at 72dpi and sometimes raise it to 90, good pictures, if you want to post it huge, then send an e-mail to those that ask for it.

3. I am sure, someone with "extra" time could look around that knows html??

Also, there is a tutorial on images here under the help section.
