Information on 1941 Banner
Dad brought home a 1941 Banner Luger he said he got from a captured officer. I don't have a macro lens on my cheap digital camera, so, at this time, no pictures are available.
All numbers match, except for the magazine. About 90+ % blue Serial number is 6812. Left side, above serial number, is, what appears to be, a Nazi eagle. Right side is marked with an Eagle-L. On frame, under the barrel, appears to be a backward letter attached to an E. Front side of front base seems to have some markings on it, but my old eyes cannot read them even with a magnifying glass. From this information I believe it is a Police Luger. Any other information anyone can supply? Also, any other places to look for any pertinent stamps? Thank you, |

You have an "Eagle L" proofed Banner Police gun. Does it have an intact sear or magazine safety?
These are scarse and collectable, but good photos would be needed for anybody to render an opinion. |

It has a sear safety, no magazine safety.
