I found central powers pistols at the gun show today looks new in box.
Got it for 88$. Thats the best deal I have ever got at a gun show.

It's the best investment.

Page 443 of this book says: Some long time experienced collectors estimate that less than 10 percent of Lugers sold at gun shows are original and correct.

I did not track Lugers. But I guess Luger situation can only be more serious, because it's "hotter", and definitely will attract more activity. Gun show is a mine field. Online is a cyberspace gun show.

Yeah, ya probably save 10 or 15 bucks off ordering it from Jan. new in box.
Got it for 88$.

Last gun show I went to in Phoenix was 10 bucks parking and 15 to get in.

It's a great book that's for sure.

Some hand writing on old gun books are interesting. I bought a Mauser book (the hardcover Belford & Dunlap book) on ebay. The first page is blank, and has this writing:

I don't remember the ebay seller's state. It's back some years ago. But the collector was supposed to be in Georgia. There is a letter in the book sending to him in 1997 from another collector.
