Post So. Calif. Gun Auction...

A decent looking gun auction coming up in the So. Calif. area :

http://www.littlejohnsauctionservice.com/auctions.html

A couple of lugers "hidden" in the many pages of Galleries...one nice early 1900 model...

Seems like the November 9-10, 2003 auctin date is a major firearms auction. This might be a good "educational" experience to go and look over many guns on their preview day...it is marked on my calendar...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Hard to see what those rifles are unless you click on each one!

Pistols show up better, looks like a great auction.

Pete,

I live in S. California and I've been going to Little John's auctions for about 10 years. He gets a lot of nice stuff, but like many auctions they sometimes go for way more than they're worth. A couple to years ago he sold the prototype to the Colt 1911 .45 that John Browning showed Colt. It was prototype number 3 and I got to hold it. I thought that was pretty neat. They had it valued at between 30K and 50K. It went for 210K. Whenever he has a good auction I stop by and get a catalog. Iâ??ve only bought about 10 guns from him, including 5 Lugers.

Little Johnâ??s is about 20 minutes from John Wayne airport if your ever in the area.

Hello Tracy,

Thanks for the update on the Little John outfit.

I do have a monthly client-trip to Irvine, CA and will time one of those visits with the auction schedule...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />
