Default Max Show

Went to the Max Show over the weekend. Saw more Lugers and holsters than I could count. It would have taken days to examine all of them.

Ed, did you get to this show? Sounds like a winner. Carl, could you give us folks in the left coast some idea of what was there?

Carl has tried to talk me into going to the show for some time. It is much closer to Heinz about 300 miles away.

It is a big show on this side of the pond for collectors.

just outside of Pittsburg....
blah, blah, but sounds fun

The MAX Show has a convention-like atmosphere. It is a show no serious dealer or collector would consider missing. The 1500 tables provide the best in collectibles, and in quantities not to be seen anywhere in the world.

Default MAX Show

As I said in my original post too many to check out. Probably 150 to 200, and maybe 75 to 100 holsters. The Europeans (Russian, German, Brits) brought a lot of holsters. Lugers ranged in price from $450 up. Quite a lot of imperial, several artillery with stocks, no navies, one carbine, every era.

Why so many? Economy, fear of new gun laws any ideas?

You should also check out the Great Eastern in Louisville, KY.

Wow, I had the 180 degree experience as yours this past weekend... I went to my first gun show, southern California (Del Mar show), to see what accessories I might come across for my father's G Date that I have... what a waste of $20 for parking and entry. There were maybe three sellers with a few lugers, and I came across only two luger mags. There were more people that needed of a bath (stinky!) in that place than luger mags!

PM me if you have one you are willing to sell, trade, or if you have a lead
