Post capture papers and documents

Hey guys........after reading through some of the boards ( I havn't been very active in the Forum ) I see some negative posts on the capture papers raising the prices on the accompanying guns. I would like to say that all the documents I have are free for the taking to those who have guns that came from my collection. I found the large box in one of my storage places and just want to try to give the correct papers to the present owners. I know some of the guns have traded hands, but I somehow hope that a few might find the right papers. I will try to find time to go through the box and list the serial #'s on the papers and post them to the Forum. That's gonna take some time though.........just bear with me...............Mike

Mike, I personnaly find the capture papers as great, and a real part of history. The problem is that they can be faked. I have .jpg on my hard drive that is an exact copy of the real ones I have seen, and if I had old paper could print them out and age them... That is why people are leery and of course I would never do anything like that, and don't understand those that do?

And Mike, if any matched the guns I have bought over the last few years (but not from you... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> )

Understood Ed.......but would it be worth all that trouble ( finding old paper, ageing it, etc.) be worth the 50 bucks that they would add to the price of the gun ??? Anyway, what I have are free, so I personally would not realize any gain, monetary or otherwise...( smile )..Mike

Mike, I too believe it isn't worth the effort for those sham artists!

And think your gesture is what this hobby is all about!

Hats off to you, <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[king]" title="" src="graemlins/r.gif" />

For anyone interested in phony paperwork that is trying to be passed off as real from a computer..
The easiest way is to use a 10X jewelers loupe and look for matrix in the type...A sure giveaway.
