grip loose
Hello:
First I like to say how informative I find this site, having never owned a Luger before I have found the info. informative. I have a question that I would like answered by the knowledgeable if possible. The right grip panel on my Commercial P08 is very sloopy fit and moves around a bit sometimes even blocks the mag release by not letting it travel out properly Is this a common problem with these guns? and also dose anyone know a good fix for this? I have used my Dremel to grind away a little of the grove where the mag release travels and this helped a lot but only this grip panel is so sloopy and feels terrible whem shooting Is this a common traite of the P08 Thanks Jim |

yep, a common trait for sure. try a rubber o ring that fits under the grip screw head, usually works. you cant see it and it provides some more downward pressure to the old dried wood

I'm not knowledgable, but I fixed the same grip problem on my beater luger by making a skinny paper shim, about a 1/4" long and a 1/16" wide. Install in grip frame groove above mag. release and behind trigger. Trial and error fit. Stick in place with small drop of linseed oil. My right grip fits tight, and you can't see the shim. Make sure shim doesn't protrude into mag.well opening. Worked well for me, has survived 120+ rounds and still tight. Good luck Stevie
