Default Installing a new rear toggle link

Are they fitted (New one is larger in diameter and then take some off until they fit) or they have defined diameters?

You need to explain a little more.
Are you talking about the Link or the pin?
Yes, pins (and the holes they go into) are "sized", normal and one or two over size diameters.

I doubt you can reduce the diameter of the pin accurately(no way to hold it), and you would need a reamer of the precise pin size to enlarge the holes.

Sounds like your "new" pin is an oversize one.

Why are you changing/replacing it ?

And there are people selling the O/S pins on eBay without noting that they are O/S...(Yes, I have first-hand experience)...So if you do buy one, get one from a reputable Luger parts dealer...

Rich is correct - but in defense of "ignorant" sellers, most of them don't have a clue.

One would actually have to know the correct diameter and measure one to tell if it were oversize or not.

Original oversize pins are "usually" marked on the end, as in "+.05mm or +.1MM" IIRC; but not always.

Update: got a pin from Sarco and it fit poifectly. It was smaller than the spare one I had (i.e. the one that would not fit and caused me to ask about the pin sizes).

Thanks for all the help!
