Default DOM Question

I have a new Alphabet or 1920 Commercial .30 Luger, SN 2982p. Numbers match and condition appears about Good. I await ammunition for test fire, but meantime I hope to learn its year of manufacture, if possible. Most grateful for any help. CF

That would have been fairly early in the 'P' series. So about mid-1926

I'd want to see the proof and acceptance on the right or left before I would automatically assume it is a alphabet luger...

.
. and I assume DOM is supposed to be DWM ??

FNorm, many thanks. Most helpful. Mr. Tinker, my confusion: I meant DOM--date of manufacture. The pistol is indeed from DWM. It has crown-over-N proof marks (I guess that's what they are) vertically left forward on the side of the chamber area, barrel, and (horizontally) forward toggle piece (not sure of correct name but forward of the piece carrying the DWM monogram). Does this sound to you like an alphabet? Thanks for all the help. CF

CF, yes, most likely it is a commericial, made in the time frame as Norm suggested.
