Question What is this piece?

These two "things" came in a lot of luger parts, and they are not for a luger- but what are they for. But I am curious.

They have an assembly or serial number, what looks like a depression for a spring, ears for a pin, one has a script "R" and the other a script "R" in a circle.

Likely a gun part, but I have no idea what for!

Info or guesses welcome.

It isn't a part from an Erma .22 conversion kit.

To me, it appears to be an adjustable rear sight base. The depression would hold the end of a coil spring, and the thing would pivot on a pin through the 2 "ears." But this does not solve the mystery of what gun it would belong on.

I was thinking not a conversion kit but one of these luger lookalikes, perhaps even a metal die cast type?

At least one of the parts shown is for a 7.65mm Ortgies pistol, which holds the wood grips to the frame. TH

Yes,
It surely appears Tom correct! (and they are both the same).

Thanks Tom.

Anyone that needs one- just let me know!

Thanks to all for their input!
