operational question
I recently inherited a S/42 luger, and am in desparate need of information regarding how to use this thing.. The pistol is complete, but the toggle is in the upright (breech open, blowback) position. I can't seem to figure out how to get it back to the "normal" position.. Many thanks in advance for your help..

Re: operational question
MAKE SURE IT IS EMPTY and POINTED in a safe direction! TAKE THE MAGAZINE out of the gun! Then pull the toggle to the rear a small amount and you will hear a click, that is the hold open releasing, ease the toggle down and forward, holding the trigger untill it is completely down. The hold open WONT release unless the magazien is out of the Luger! ~Thor~

Re: operational question
This is the thing abut a new gun!
I have a Bolo Mauser 96 that I probably messed up yars ago, I could NOT get it back together, the trick was easy once learned, but trying and messing with it for hours gets very frustrating! We all live and learn, but this forum helps a lot. Ed |
