Default Magazine ID needed

I know very little about these later (30's-40's) magazines, can someone help with a positive ID? I see no identifying marks other than the lonely "2" on the bottom.

looks like a police mag that has been scrubbed (very nicely) - not sure why they left most of the 2 on it?

Post 1930 and Vopo Police mag were normally marked 1,2 or 3 in the position shown. THe die set used on yours looks more like that used by the postwar Vopo. TH

I have a 1917 Erfurt VoPo Luger that came with two East German serial number matching mags. They are marked 1 and 2 in the same position. Below is magazine number 1. The base seems to be made of zinc while the base of magazine number 2 is bright aluminum.
