1937 S/42 serial#1066t, all matching, hump, DE63 DE63 MTD. Sold to me as a Russian dip when Mr. Tinker listed a widow's husband's collection several years ago. Don't remember the grips but were not original (replaced with Nills) This is my range shooter, 99% reliable, never changed a spring and will digest anything I feed her. Thanks Ed!

I'm thinking MTP is Mid Test Proof? Last edited by abush; 10-27-2018 at 11:18 AM. |

I added all the data to a xlsx spread sheet so it can be sortable. Hopefully I got it all correct. I also added the last few posts as i wasn't sure if the main list was being updated since 2009. Not sure if all the column names are correct. I was hoping to format the data to some standardization. My hope was that if users included all the Mag numbers we could develop a database of orphaned mags and perhaps reunite with correct lugers. note the file ext is .txt rename to .xlsx to open in excel. V3 Added a few lugers and separated out suffix for sorting

you might also want to add the data from the specimen in this For Sale posting. It is in what appears to be Mint condition...
![]() I wonder where it has been hiding all these years? ![]() http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthread.php?t=39036

John,
Its very neat for me, my shooter is Mauser 4222 S (only what, 23 serial numbers away from this one in the WTS ad, perhaps made in the same batch?). Unfortunately, mine has a mismatched toggle train assembly. But hey, at least I get to shoot it because of that.

You would not shoot it if it was matched?

Not unless it had been reblued or otherwise relegated to “shooter” status. Breaking a part on an all matching gun can tank it’s value

![]() Side notes, does anyone happen to have a matching Mauser S/42 toggle train marked with a “22”? And under the SN on the barrel is a very faint and small marking of numbers that appear to read “8.81”
