Welcome to the forum! My cousin married a beautiful Aussie sheila. Its great to visit them and have some jumbuck pie . Good tucker. Vegemite is a acquired taste for me. I do love peanut butter, which Aussies feel is also a acquired taste. I like your Luger, although I notice that most of the pictures where taken in the shower?? My suggestion is,when you take a shower with a gun, like I do,only carry a stainless steel gun. The soapy water is bad for the blued finish on a steel gun. Bob

Ahh the old Jumbuck pie I'm guessing you cousin lives in country Australia? I have to say that I like my peanut butter (especially with honey on toast) almost as much as I like my Vegemite. I have to ask when you refer to "peanut butter and jelly" is the "Jelly" a jam of some sort? Ha ha ha I admit I do like the engineering marvels but not quite sure i'd get all cosy in the shower with them ha ha no those photos were from the seller I am still awaiting it to turn up so I can inspect her and get some decent photos up for you guys. Did I mention I paid $800AU for the old girl with a spare mag, take down tool and the holster? Peg |

Edit - Mr Sturgess informs me that although they do not show it on their site or advertise it, Simpsons has the DVD for order here in the States... Dear Mr Postino, I did not realise from your earlier e-mail that you are US based - please contact Brad Simpson Publishing, who can supply a copy of the book DVD and accept payment by credit card. http://www.simpsonltd.com/product_in...ducts_id=23643 Although the book DVD is not shown on their web site, they have stock for immediate delivery. Best wishes, Geoff Sturgess Mr Sturgess does not quote a price for the stand-alone US/Simpson DVD, but presumably it is less than the $300+ book set...

I have emailed 'Brad Simpson Publishing' for a price & payment information for the stand-alone DVD. Will post it when it comes, if another member does not beforehand. BTW: My local bank [Key Bank] informs me that the cost of an international bank transfer (as Mr Sturgess mentioned in his first email) would cost more that the $35 USD Mr Sturgess quoted for the DVD...

Peg, If you're primarily interested in Lugers, I believe that Jan Still's 3 volume set (Imperial, Weimar & Third Reich Lugers) is still the one to have. If you're just starting out, Kenyon's "Lugers at Random" @$65 is a good, less confusing way to get the BIG picture. TH

Mr Sturgess stated 'bank transfer'. (I omitted his bank information). When contacted further, he referred me to Simpsons.
Edit: Here's Ron Woods' post on ordering - http://forum.lugerforum.com/showpost...60&postcount=6

I would definitly agree with Tom above and start out with Jan's five books and Lugers At Random. I bought the Sturgess 3 volume set and they are perfect for veteran luger collectors but not for daily use! Too heavy to rest on your lap but great for specifics! There are over 1900 pages. Knowing where to look is hard enough perfect for seasoned collectors but confusing for new! Jan laid it our in five categories, easy to use and easy to read. I still rely in the his books below and have had to search Sturgess for additional refined research. ~~~Eric
