Goodness, that's something to print and keep as an easy reference.
I'm not an expert at all on holsters, I've got only a couple of them, while I'm sure many of us do collect them and know how to preserve them, apparently there are many reproductions around that have been artificially aged to look like an expensive original one. I think like with anything else in the collecting world if one doesn't even know things like were they brown or black or pink could easily get screwed out of one's money by unscrupluous sellers.

Here is a rather rare holster that originally was brown and later the front was dyed black under orders to have uniformity. They only re-dyed the front to conform with latter German Army regulations! I must thank George Anderson for the holster history lesson~
