The supply of most military Luger variaions is not small, but the demand is also big. And, for a gun to be popular, the production volume cannot be too small. Otherwise, only a few lucky guys have it playing monoploy, it would not be popular.

Ernie, if the gun is worth $2000 to you then don't even consider selling it for a penny less. It's worth $2000 to someone somewhere, but that person isn't here, that's all. Be patient, and best of luck to you.
