Default De-Stinking Leather

All,

I just recieved a leather case that was a custom job done in South America. The workmanship is *almost* as good as jerry Burney's, but there is ONE BIG PROBLEM. The thing smells like the tannin g chemicals were 95% diesel fuel. it STINKS bad; so bad, in fact, you could smell the residual odor after I took the ting outside.

Anyone got a sure-fire method to deodorize this?
