I would personally love for someone to discover the whereabouts of one of the actual customized P-38s used on the series and do a photo essay on them...

You can make your own Man From Uncle Gun by supplying a P 38 or, of course it will be made for you at:

Pete and Jack... Very impressive "imitation" UNCLE setup... but the grips are not authentic to the show... the original gun had custom grips that I believe were made of either resin or machined aluminum that was slotted in the back to accept the wire stock... I have a photo of the grips somewhere... if it wasn't lost in a file mishap I had several months ago... If if find them, I will post them...

Another thought just occurred to me... I used to spend a lot more time on our sister forum... P38forum.com and I remember a old discussion of this gun that included photos... if they haven't been expired and deleted, they might still be there... I will search for them there as well.

Found the website where you can see all the original accessories and the guns (photos)

http://www.theunclegun.com/

Here is one of the photos of the gun and grips. The "K" stand for the last name of David McCallum's character Illya Kuriakin (Spelling not guaranteed).

John,

Very cool indeed. I always watched the show as a kid and had forgotten all about the firearms they used. That is except for the toy I always wanted that was the breifcase with all the attachments.
