Tac, I hope I was not the cause of your displeasure. I certainly did not mean any disrespect to you , your forefathers or your wonderful country. I was hopefully feeling you out towards a meaningful discussion. We have a culture where for a measly $200.00 tax stamp and a wait of about six months one can own and fire a full auto sub machine or machine gun just for the pure joy of it. This is what Freedom means to me. I am as proud of my country as you of yours, they are just a tad different and not because of honest hard working citizens like you and I but the form of Government we have. Please do not let this come between friends, accept my apology if one is needed. Ron Wood is truly a Diplomat and I agree with all he says. Jerry Burney

tacfoly,
While making your plans, keep in mind the $200 tax on the transfer of an automatic firearm is a federal thing. The state laws vary from state to state. For example, here in Iowa, civilian possesion of an automatic firearm is frowned upon by the powers that be. On the other hand, I am given to understand it's permissible in Texas. In the People's Republik of Kalifornia Dan Wesson revolvers are sold with the self cocking strut removed. The strut is kept at the Dan Wesson factory in case you have sense enough to leave Kalifornia. |

Tac,
Why not 49? We do have 50 states. Hawaii has a great climate but is shooter unfriendly whereas Alaska (brrrrr) is very shooter friendly (you can carry concealed now without a permit). Of course there are states like NY, NJ, KAL and probably other unfriendlies. So maybe about 45 or so are pretty friendly, although you can obtain CCW permits in about 32 states now and can also own full automatics in about 30 states.
