And the bidder beat out Tom A and Derek S! Who is this guy... anyone know his handle? If he likes lugers that much, he belongs here on this forum with us!

One comment on this transaction..eBay bidding can be very misleading. 'Winning' becomes a driver and often pushes someone farther than they would normally go. Truly, it might be one of a kind as far as condition goes. One of a kind items are not the norm and, as Johnny says, this does not set the market value. I would think that a serious Luger collector who would buy that holster would be a forum member.

John, Sorry I missed your post...Yes I think this holster is genuine. I looked it over very carefully. If someone out there is making these today I would say more power to them! It would be like DWM starting production again.Craftsmanship is lost in today's fast paced big money market and I personally do not believe there is anyone left in the World who could produce such a holster. I know the winning bidder; he is an advanced collector who has many of his pieces in Still's books. Am uncertain if he is a forum member or not. Have done several transactions with him over the years. He knows his stuff exceedingly well and has probably the finest assembly of rigs I know.

Hello Tom,
I do not believe that he is a forum member, and I also know that his Luger collection (mainly military) is of extremely fine quality. Albert Imperial Arms |
