I live in Pennsylvania. So only a $3.00 firearms tax and a $5.00 background check from this auctioneer.
While I know nothing about how things are done in Penn, here there is also 7% sales tax ($105 for $1500 sale price) and a bidder's fee of around 15%-20% ($225-$300 on a $1500 hammer price). See how it adds up? Then there is the chance that some dunce buys it at $2300 and you've wasted the entire day... Yes, I'm a bit depressing today, but I don't go to public auctions to buy Lugers anymore. dju |

Congrats on winning this Luger for that total amount of $. I don't see how you could ever lose money on this Luger unless there is some hidden problem/s. It looks good in the photos. Let us know how things are with this Luger as you have time to explore it.
