I bought a similar raw casting a couple years back...GB or eBay, I forget which...It is undrilled, which is why I haven't used it...yet...

Maybe that's why mine has copper color to it, it's a repro & wouldn't blue?

I think you nailed it, Rich. I had one of these years ago and could never get it to fit a shooter I had purchased it for.

Well, I'm glad I found this forum, I've learned a lot about my Luger. When I asked the guy at The LGS why this one was so much cheaper than the other two there, all he knew was that it had repro grips was refinished and that the 42 was Mauser code.
