The shape of the dies used at Mauser were different when compared to those used by DWM, Erfurt and Simson.
I don't have my reference books here, but that suffix looks fine. Marc

Thanks Marc, after further search on the net, I did find byf 42 date lugers with the identical l suffix. I was creating fact sheets on each of my pieces and wanted the correct facts. The luger FAQ in the forum is a great tool as well.
