Boy,do I miss the days when you could order a gun from Sears,( and several other places). And the good old US mail brought it right to your door.

I hate sites like this....no photos....no prices! And how the heck do we here in the USA get our hands on this stuff? But I must admit, there is an impressive array of collectibles listed.

drbuster,
The way to do it is to have someone visit the seller, examine the guns and then make arrangements wiyth an importer here in the US. Be prepared to spend a LOT of money, wait a long time and have no right of refusal if the pieces arrive in the US and you are not satisfied. Tom A. Who has bad memories of doing this |

Tom, I agree, I would much rather buy from someone I trusted (you, Jerry, Bill, Russ, etc) then deal with overseas..... yuck, I'd at least want to look at it!

People should also be careful about currency fluctuations. The Euro is very expensive for Amerians at the moment. If money isn't a question, you might end up paying more that you would by just going on the open market in the USA. These guns are available in the USA if you are just willing to spend some time looking around. For instance, Doug Smith of FGS and Simpson frequently go the Europe to do some shopping. I am sure that there are other dealers too. But they may not be doing it now because the guns there are just too expensive to bring back.
But Tom A made a very good recommendation and it should be heeded. I give two thumbs up to his opinion. Big Norm |
