Default The Birds?

Hi,

Why are these three guys stamped on the slide near the barrel on the right side of my 1920 Luger?

Mark,

Those are proofs and acceptance marks applied during production by inspectors showing that it passed inspection. Different variations will be found on nearly all Lugers.

That particular combination indicates a 1920 DWM police model.
