It's legal to attach a stock to this kind, right?

Yes it is legal IF it is either an original Navy Luger stock, or an exact reproduction of that stock.
It IS however....a FEDERAL felony to attach any other type of stock to this gun unless it has been federally registered by the ATF as a short barreled rifle (SBR) under the National Firearms Act of 1934. The Tax is $200.00 for this registration.

Hi Pete and everyone - Frank H.
Hi Pete and everyone, man how time flies, last time I "had time" to visit the forum here or much was almost a year ago, I moved from L.A. to Oregon (an hour south of Portland) since then, and have been really tied up in a new business.
That's my Navy (with an old re-blue) on gunbroker there, I figured in a refreshing change from the high reserve teases etc. I'd start it low with no reserve and let "value" be the market, that high hidden reserve thing is for the birds. I hate to let this one go, I'd really wanted a "shootable" Navy myself, but cash demands have put the marching orders on this one LOL. As I was getting it ready for sale, taking the photos etc, I even more didn't want to let it go, it had a much nicer bore than I expected (never even inspected it since I'd bought it, "been busy"), and it's just a nice solid piece, looks better on the inside than the outside so to speak, not much wear or use on this one, remarkable for an issued Navy, nice grips (and never been cracked up by the safety lever), sigh... After I win the lottery I'll buy more... (But I don't buy lottery tickets, so I'd better get back to work!) I figured maybe you'd spot this one out Pete, I know you don't miss much! Have fun everybody - Frank H. in Oregon frank@beingfree.com |

Hi there Frank! Nice to meetcha'!
It looks like you're already at a thousand over asking price with five days left. I'm guessing you'll do well with it. I wish I had the couple of grand it's going to fetch. She's a beauty...

Auctions etc
Hey there Steve -
I always list at about a third or so less than the minimum I'd really like to get out of something, to attract interest on an item. Sometimes you get scorched with "little to no bids" and an item goes really low, but having plenty of detailed photos generally makes people feel comfortable to bid if the item is what they want. Looks like I won't take a beating on this one, then again you never know who's going to really pay at the end of an auction. Somebody put an early bid on this who literally had an "F" rating, I blocked them from further bids, then I get the "why'dja do dat?? I was gonna pay a fortune..." (they'd skipped out of paying on auctions in the past). Always fun... that said, with the infrequent selling I do, I've had good luck with good people showing up. And I always try to include something extra if I can as a 'thank you' for the buyer, especially if they paid "more than I'd hoped for" on an auction. Now if only I had the wowie-special photographic lights, a NASA hidden reserve price, and a gold plating rig around here and some mother-of-bowling-ball 'original' grips... I'd be LugerCorpProfitInc LOL. Frank-H in Oregon |

HI Frank,
Glad you made it up to Oregon... You took really nice photos to post on youyr Auction...I admire that. If I weren't busy trying to fill out my Swiss collection, I might well be tempted... Regards, Pete... |

Thanks Pete, and I've really enjoyed seeing the photos you've posted of your very nice Swiss variants, as well I've enjoying the "many" great photos from the forum members here, Doug's, Dwight's, Tom's, all of you guys.
Here's to a great summer for everybody, Frank H. in Oregon |
