Default Just joined the brotherhood

Hi new to the forum but have been lurking for 6 months or so but had to announce that today I joined the luger owners brotherhood.
I am the new owner of a 1917 Erfurt s/n 4208 all matching s/n on everything original blueing with some straw left on. With two mags and holster with tool in flap.
I will take some digital pics tomorrow in the sun light and post them.
I was so happy to get my first luger I just had to shout to all.
Please be patient with me I will have a million questions.
Later
Kenneth

Welcome to the ward,
New inmates with neat stuff are always welcome. You do realize that there is no escape!?

You now know that if this Luger buying goes unchecked, this is what happens.

Doug's is an advanced case. As soon as he gets 50 we'll be forced to euthanize him. It's better than watching him suffer!

I my baby is a chocolate lab.
Mostly she is a 70 lb lap dog but is eager to go hunting just wish I had more time to take her.
I hunt ducks mostly but will go after dove & turkey.

Tom, they are from the Versital Rack co. They come in 4 and six gun sizes. They work great in my safe. They keep the lugers up and I can slide less important guns underneath. I have ten or so left over and no longer need. Email me if interested and I'll find out what I paid for them. deg@georgealarm.com

Kenneth, my first Luger was also a 1917 Erfurt about 900 s/n's up from yours. They're neat old guns--'kinda rough and industrial grade compared to most other Lugers. Mine has matching numbers, but it was in pretty sad shape otherwise. I finally made the decision to turn it over to Thor, and what a difference! Now my Erfurt looks (and functions) like it did when it left the factory. The next thing you need to do is get a second Luger, and then you can spend hours comparing the subtle differences between the two. When you do this, the rough tooling marks that the Erfurts are known for really stand out. My Erfurt shoots pretty well when it wants to, but I get most of my enjoyment from just handling it and showing it to others. As you can tell from the "advanced cases" who already posted, this Luger stuff never stops. Enjoy!

So that's it! Now I know why my Erfurt is just a little bit different--thanks Ed.
