Default LP-08 Adjust. Rear Sight...???

The following photo is off the web...it was a 1915 or 1916 DWM LP-08 with adjustable rear sight...

My question : Shouldn't the left side of the adjustable rear sight have a "tick" mark that lines up with the three other marks on the right side...???

Yep, it should.

Have seen yesterday a 1917 DWM with that markings on both sides!

Here is an enlargement from a 1916 DWM in both color and negative image which shows the proper alignment marks for the adjustable Artillery Rear sight blade...

and here is another, but I didn't record what make and model it was when I captured this photo... but the alignment marks show clearly...

I wouldn't pass up a decent Artillery just because it was missing this mark,... heck it might be just a lightly struck mark and photo flash obscured it on the photo you posted Pete....
