Default Connection Problems

I'm having a heck of a time connecting to the forum this morning, only one in about 6 or 7 tries gets me anything other than a "connection timed out" message. Is it me or are you diddling with the settings John?

Hi Herb,

I've had the same problem. Just got on for the first time around 2:44PM.

UPDATE: 7:55PM; the problem seems to have been resolved.

Thanks.

Luke

Yea - sorry 'bout that!!!.. It was me.. I was trying to move the server/sites "gracfully" behind some other security systems - so much for "that" try!!! I'll give it another whirl tomorrow in the AM - but please remember, I'm still tuning this server - when I think it's "set", I'll post it up, OK??

Thanks to all for your patience!!

John

Patience guys. If you get too tensed up try pulling a mainspring and putting it back. Just remember, we do not have to do the work. MY grandfather was a WWI vet (matrosen) and he had a German saying from the war "never offer advice to a man doing a job you don't want to do" :-)
