Private 06-29
I have found 2 models 06-29 and I may buy one
According to my book "Pistolen und revolver der Scwiez seit 1720" von K Reinhard it looks like they are commercial models Do they have the same value as military ones? What should I pay in switzerland for such a gun? What do you think about the quality? Is the Holster original? S/N are P25491 & P25801 Regards thx a lot for your post Fredo |

Hi Fredo,
Both M1929 Bern commercial lugers look great. If I were you, I would buy the one that is in the best condition, including its bore condition. Hopefully both are original Bern finish and both have original small parts number stamped to match the gun's serial number.. Price for these lugers in the USA would be in the $ 2500-$3000 USD price range. I know prices in CH are much lower...but I will let some of our LF members that live in CH give you a better idea of value. The holster in your 2nd. photo is proper/correct for a M1929. The holster in your top photo is a M1906 Swiss holster...possibly with a magazine pouch added to the top of the closure flap. I cannot be 100% sure of the holster in your 1st. photo...as not all of the holster is shown in the photo. The luger in your 1st. photo has a muzzle cover made by Luthy in the 1950's. These are a bit rare to find in the USA and can run to $ 150 each... Between the two photos, it looks like the M1929 Bern luger in your top photo might be the nicer of the two...that would be my choice if both are otherwise equal... p.s. You might want to visit this Swiss gun selling site..as they have some luger prices for guns in CH : http://www.waffenboerse.ch/index.php...su8CBBxMfK8SfT Regards, Pete...
