What is this?
What is this holster? Is it real? A Trommelmagazine fits in it, but is sorta hard to get out of it... How would one rig the straps if it is real? The stitches seem awfully big/long. I have more photos but they're too big... From a Kodak 5.0 mega pixel camera set at the lowest setting. Thanks!

Mr Crank,
This is a pouch for the snail drum. Some believe they first surfaced in the 1920s with the widespread commercial sale of Lugers in the US. Others seem to think that they first appeared in the 60s. I'm inclined to believe that they started showing up in the 20s and have continued ever since up to this day when they can be bought from IMA. Even though many have German maker marks (most dated 1915) they are almost certainly not of German manufacture. |
