Jerry,

LF member, Nick Davis, saw that I was going after one on e-Bay but I stopped bidding when it looked like some shill-bidding had started and then the pricing went up too high...some guy named "oldgringo39" won the auction for the holster in the UK...

Nick introduced me to a friend of his who was selling another for a much more reasonable price...who also has a web site :

http://www.jons-swords.com/

(Holsters are located in the "Firearms" section...)

<img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> Thanks, Nick !!! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Hello Richard,

Not sure if I will even pick up a M1943 Portuguese luger...never cared much for that cheap-looking parkerized finish...

BTW...LF Member Tom Heller (aka LugerDoc) is selling a complete GNR rig in the WTS section...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Pete,

Someone else may be able to substantiate this (or disprove it ) but I seem to remember from some source that SOME of the early Portuguese contract byf42 Lugers actually made it out of the factory in BLUE and not all were parkerized...

...so there may be hope that you could end up with something to fill that fine new holster!

Pete--Yes they are rather cheap looking, but aren't they the last REAL Lugers made before those over priced - post war Krieghoffs! MY EARS ARE BURNING!!! And for its lack of beauty, the cheapest luger rig I've ever purchased! Its still a Luger and a piece of history! Hope you find one.
