Navy Luger Barrels
Does anyone have blueprints for the standard 6" Navy barrel with the dimensions for the higher front sight boss? I know that the standard 4 inch P.08 barrel specification stretched to 6 inches would not have a front sight high enough to use with a Navy rear sight toggle...
Is the threaded shank for Navy barrels identical to barrels produced for the short frame? or were they only made for the Long frame? Lacking the availability of blueprints, does anyone have a shot-out Navy barrel in their parts box as described that I could use to reverse engineer the specs? I don't actually need to own it, just need to borrow it for a week or two... Thanks!

There is a guy in Texas that advertises all kinds of Luger parts on GunBroker.com. His name is "dkf". Recently, he had a shot out Navy barrel for sale for a "reasonable price". Perhaps he could be talked into measuring it for you, or lending it to you for a while to do the same. Give it a try, who knows? To all who have an interest... I have just been contacted by a forum member who does indeed have a shot out long frame Navy Luger barrel that was removed from a customer gun during a rebuild and who is going to send it to me so I can blueprint the threaded shank and the front sight boss... stay tuned for updates in the next few weeks!
