RK, Pretty rough isn't it? I paid $2000.00 for my 1917 Navy with all matching numbers and at least 85% if not 90. Jerry Burney

Anyone care to bet whether this will turn up in 6-7 months on an auction offered by someone in the midwest?

Tom, And the bet assumes it will be in considerably better shape than what these "poor pictures" show it?

Mein Kamerad Heinz,
It will be in 97% with matching grips, a minty bore and have some matching beechwood grips... Amazing the miracles in the midwest, ain't it! Tom A. |

Well, the auction is over and the navy receiver didn't fly. I would guess that the reserve price was $1000. Too much to pay for a navy toggle. Too much to pay to end up with an ugly shooter. With its apparent condition, the guy would have have a better chance selling the whole navy on Auctionarms. But, then again, maybe he doesn't have a C&R.

Its been relisted with a buy-it-now of $750. Still a reserve, though...
