Why do I have to log in every time now? The forum used to remember me, but now I'm a stranger to it. Did I overlook something?

If you log in, and then close the browser without logging out, you should be able to get directly back into the message board without having to log in again.
The reason that log-ins were required today was due to some necessary adminstrative setting changes that took place this morning... As of this morning, John D. and I made the decision that starting today, until further notice, in order to access the message board, you must be a registered user... This change in these settings caused a forced login for most registered users on their next attempt to login. For an unspecified amount of time, the discussion software settings were configured so that it was not necessary to login in order to view the message boards, that changed this morning. We apologize if anyone was inconvenienced. John Sabato / Site Admin

John, It's been some time now since the recent log in changes, but whenever I go directly to the discussion area via the reinlist address, I have to login every time. If I go thru www.lugerforum.com I don't have to log in. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tom H.

Tom,
Try deleting all your cookies created by the forum and starting from scratch... Close the browser when you are finished and then log in from the direct link one more time and see if you still need to log in on subsequent visits... I recommend always coming in through the Lugerforum.com homepage portal... since that is the way the site is intended to be operated... but to each his/her own... the link to delete all lugerforum cookies is on your "profile" page... let me know what happens...

John, I believe it is because Tom doesn't have any cookies locally? Webtv does not store anything on his TV?
Hello Tom, hadn't heard from you since you got back from the show, pointed a couple of non-forum types towards you, since I have been so pleased with our dealings,

John,
I still have to log in every time if I come directly to the message board (rather than entering the home page). I prefer to enter this way or my screen is so cramped that it's a real pain reading messages.

Al, come to the home page, then right click on message board and then open in new window.
That should solve your problem. Ed
