Smile Lube

Good People
What kind of lubricants are people using out there on their 'shooter' grade guns to ensure maximum protection and wear prevention?
I've heard of one guy who espouses the use of motorcycle chain lube on the toggle pins as it is kind of sticky and dosn't get thrown off like your normal light gun oil with the rapid action of the toggle. This sounds reasonable I guess and seems to work for him.
How about the slides? Should these be greased or oiled and what with? And is it better to fire a Luger dry or rather slightly oily?
Just thought I'd put the question out there for comment.

Cheers
Ken

Kell-Lube is an excellent product. It can be obtained from Brownells or direct from the maker at: http://www.kustom-ballistics.com/

I use BREAKFREE CLP on all my firearms as a lubricant & preservative. I strongly recommend it.

I've used a variety of oils but mostly 3-in-1. I've lately thought about using a high-quality grease on my Lugers but haven't decided what kind/brand just yet. I'm still thinking it over.

Tetra-Gun Grease on all sliding parts, and Breakfree CLP on the rest!
