Post D. Deibel's Dutch Luger Article...?

I have been told that the late Mr. Dick Deibel wrote a very nice article regarding Dutch lugers in a journal named Gun Review...

Do any Forum member have this article that I might be able to get/buy a copy of ?

Or would someone give me info. on the Gun Review folks that I might chase down a reprint...?

Appreciate your help !!!

Regards,

Pete... <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />

Pete,
I have an old photocopy of an article "A Dutch Luger Treat" written by Dick Deibel in the June 1972 issue of American Rifleman. Don't know about a Gun Review article. Could this be what you are looking for?

Yes, Ron; I think this is the article...

Mr. Mike Morris of Texas referred me to the article...but maybe he got the magazine reference mixed up a bit.

I will send you a Private Message with my home address and e-mail; would appreciate a copy and let me know what I owe you...

If you are at Luger Fest next year, the steak dinner is on me !!!

Regards,

Hello Hugh,

If you are planning on coming up to the Tulsa gun show on Oct. 19-20, 2002; I will be there and I will certainly buy you a steak dinner as well.

Any old articles you might have about .45 luger pistols would be most welcomed...

Maybe we can organize a little Luger Forum social...

Pete,
According to what I read in the bibliography of "The Luger Book" (Thanks by the way!) there is two articles on Dutch Lugers by: Deibel...

This is a quote:
Deibel, W. L. 'Dick': "The Dutch' Luger". A three-part article in Guns Review, vol. 14 nos 1-3. Ravenhill Publishing Co., London, January-March 1974

-'A Dutch Luger Treat', in The American Rifleman , June 1972.

I think indeed Mr. Morris was correct on the title of the magazine, so maybe you could get a copy through Ravenhill Publishing Co.?

Hope this helps!

Hello Brandon,

1. So glad you received The Luger Book, by Walters. I think it's a great reference book !

2. I will try to dig through old gun magazines at the Tulsa Gun Show in a few weeks. If I have no luck, I will try to chase down back issues from the publisher...

Regards,
