Artillery Sight
Dear Friends,
I notice that Sarco, Inc. sells newly manufactured rear sights for the artillery Luger for $175. Has anyone bought one? I've been considering it but have been wondering about the quality. Any reports? |

I have only just discovered that fact this week. I am also interested if anyone has purchased one of these and what the quality is like.

I ordered a range-scale for the sight of my artillery from Tom Heller and was told by Tom that it is the same thing I can expect if I buy the complete sight from Sarco, Inc.
I didn't know that at first and took the part to be a radically reworked original. Since being informed by Tom that it was actually a newly manufactured part, I definitely will not be ordering the whole thing from Sarco. Aside from some questionable dimensional changes affecting the sight-picture, the part is pretty roughly made with obvious grinding/tool marks and will not add to the appearance of an artillery unless it is gone over with some fine emery cloth and blued. Regards to all, Jack |
