Post gale morgan finish

Can anyone on the forum enlighten me on the significance of a Gale Morgan finish and just what it is?

Gale is probably the premiere Pistol restorer in the country. He can do magic on anything! He reminds me of McGiver, or an Alchemist, he can turn rust pits into a mint example! First rate!
I admire his work a lot. His restorations command a premium. His work is the mark most of us restorers aim for!

Thor has done one of my Lugers and is currently working on a C-96 of mine and I'm going to send him a 1900 AE in a few weeks. Having said this it should be obvious that I wouldn't keep working with him if his work was not top notch!

Thank you all for the insight. I am considering the purchase of a Luger that is advertised as having a Gale Morgan finish. I wanted info on the finish in order to make an informed decision. Thanks again to all.
