Post Side Plate on eBay

Unmarked side (trigger) plate on eBay - -

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...108158283&rd=1

It seems several of these unmarked side plates have been offered in recent months. Are these repros or original? I have never actually seen an unmarked original.

Luke

Hi Luke! I've not got a real grip on the situation... but I can tell you, it's real hard to tell by the photos... there is a lot of repro sideplates out there... but they are ALL cast... it is easy to tell the orig. ones by the machined area on the backside... i have seen several orig. un-numbered sideplates in my 25+ years of collecting... but they are certainly not common, and i've seen none recently... sideplates are definitly one of the more desirable luger parts ... All we/I need are some 75 year old machinest!!! Best to you Luke...also, good to hear from you! til...lat'r....GT

Hi GT,

I suspected that these were recent repros.
Good to hear from you.

Regards,
Luke

Hi Luke! They may or may not be repros!! The problem is, you need to see a clear pic of the back! It's back to the same ol deal... do you take the risk or not, It seems as if ebay brings out the gambler in all of us!! Best to you Luke! til...lat'r...GT
