suggestions for grips
My matching s/42 is in need of grips. I think that I would like new ones or authentic ones in excellent shape. I am concerned about fit and finish tho. I got a pair from CDNN for $20 and as expected the fit isnt very good and the shape is not like that of the originals. Where can I find some real nice ones with excellent checkering and be confident that the fit will be good? Thanks.

Hugh (Clark) is the forum member who produces first class grips wooden grips.
He can usually refit the ones that fit poorly and rechecker them so that they look like the originals. You can contact him at: hhclark@academicplanet.com He is also listed in the Links & Resources section of the Lugerforum.com homepage.

If you want the absolutely best fitting and new looking, get him to checker some Nill Griffe uncheckered Grips that are made in Germany. Hugh's checkering is better than theirs! I just got in three pairs today that Hugh worked on, but they are for my clients guns. Top notch work for sure!!! Thor's Luger Clinic (TLC)
