Post 1917 dwm rework

I have a 1917 dwm with s/42, w154 and a E/ZA acceptance stamp on the barrel.
There is a picture in still's weimar and early nazi lugers page 219 figure 61.it has brown plastic grips mine doesnt but they do have the last two digits stamped inside. It also shows a s/42 marked rear toggle link mine does not have this. My question is does it have to have the plastic grips and the s/42 toggle link stamp to be correct. Also can anyone tell anything else about this gun how many were made ect.
any help would be apreciated
ED

Ed, This is a parts gun? 1917 with a S/42 barrel. I would say the correct grips would be the ones that match the most parts, say the 1917 end of it. If all the parts match except the barrel then I would say you have a 1917 DWM that was rebarreled during the Nazi period. Are there matching numbers everywhere but the barrel? Tell me more...Jerry Burney

The barrel has matching numbers but I was a little doubtful on them because they were a little rough. And because I knew the stamps onthe barrel were not right. yesterday though I went to national gun day show here in ky and got STill's weimar book, and found the one that was close to mine in the book with the exceptions that I mentioned in my first post.
