Default Traditional Xmas Movies this weekend !

Yes! The quintessential Xmas movie, "Die Hard" kicks off a Xmas Die Hard movie marathon on The Sy-Fy Channel! It couldn't be Xmas without Bruce Willis!

I'll also be watching the six "Resident Evil" movies on DVD. I'm a Michele Rodriguez fan. Maybe watch the two "Machete" movies too.

There's really nothing else worth watching on TV today and this weekend. I'm sick of sappy old Xmas movies, Kardashian self-serving crises, and the trials and tribulations of Royal newly-weds. There's not even a decent news program on today.

So, it's Bruce against the world! Woohoo!

(I watched "Ex Machina" on DVD last night, with "The Predator" later on today. Hey, there's an idea - Watch the six or seven Predator movies! Or the "Alien" series! I have them all on DVD!)

Yes! Flesh eating zombies, alien monsters, and big-game hunters from space! Plus pizza, shrimp fried rice, and oatmeal raisin cookies! A traditional down-home Xmas!

For old time laughs try:

The Man That Came to Dinner.

You have to be sharp to catch all the references to historical people.

We watched Die Hard the other day - love that movie

I like the Scrooges - We just watched the one with Henry Winkle, its An American Christmas Carol, made for TV and its a favorite.
Earlier we had on a musical , watched it as a kid, the one with Albert Finney - Scrooge

Have only watched a few this year, waiting for my son and his wife to arrive tomorrow! First time we'll have met her.

Just watched "HEAT" with Pacino and DeNiro. The all time best downtown shootout film of all time. It appears they are using live guns with live ammo. Great Christmas flick.

NOPE. Just looked it up. They were using blanks during filming. But had trained for 3 months with live ammo beforehand.

Hey! Turner Classic Movies is showing "The Bridge On The River Kwai" tonight!

Nothing brings home the real meaning of Xmas like British soldiers being worked to death to build a bridge for enemy transportation...

Thai is a tonal language.
Depending on pronunciation Kwai can mean 'river' or 'buffalo' (water buffalo)
As pronounced for the movie Kwai means buffalo
Thai's think this is crazy - who would build a bridge over a buffalo, just move the buffalo.
But the other pronunciation "Bridge over the river River" makes no sense either.

But have to love the "Colonel Bogey March"
We used to sing that during training

"Hitler, had only one big ball
Rommel, had two but rather small
Himmler, had something similar
But poor old Goebbels
Had no balls
at all"
